Terms of service
These terms apply between Amberlock Ltd and the restaurant that opens a site on WataDish.
Who we are
WataDish is a service of Amberlock Ltd. You can reach us at support@watadish.com.
The service
WataDish gives your restaurant an ordering site: your menu in the languages you choose, QR codes for your tables, orders for pickup, delivery and the table, the WhatsApp hand-off and the order screen. What each plan includes is on the pricing page.
We keep the service running as well as we reasonably can, but we cannot promise that it will never be interrupted.
Your account
You must own the business, or be allowed to act for it. Keep your password to yourself: you are responsible for what is done with your account, and for the people you add to your team.
You are responsible for your menu, your prices, the allergen information you give and the food you sell.
Plans and trials
A free trial moves your site to the free plan when it ends, unless you have arranged to stay on the paid plan. Before a price you pay goes up, we tell you at least 30 days ahead.
Card payments
Stripe does not operate in Lebanon, so a restaurant there cannot take cards on an account of its own. When card payments are on, Amberlock Ltd acts as your commercial agent: it collects each card payment on its own Stripe account on your behalf, and a customer who has paid us has paid you.
We keep what we owe you in a balance you can see in your admin, and pay it out by bank transfer when you ask, once each payment is 7 days old, which covers refunds and disputes. If our bank charges a fee to send a transfer, it is taken from the amount sent.
Commission and card surcharges
For each card payment we keep the commission of your plan, taken on the total the customer paid, delivery fee and tip included. It includes Stripe’s fee for a standard UK card.
Stripe charges more for some cards: cards issued outside the UK, premium and business cards, and payments it has to convert from another currency. We pass that difference on at cost, and show it against each payment.
Cash orders carry no commission.
Refunds and disputes
You decide refunds for your own orders. A refund comes out of your balance, and the commission on it is not returned.
If a cardholder disputes a payment, Stripe takes the amount and its dispute fee from us. We take both from your balance while the dispute is decided and give them back if it is won. A dispute that is lost is your loss, as it would be with a card machine of your own. Payouts wait while a dispute is open.
Acceptable use
Use WataDish for a real food business and lawful sales. Do not sell anything illegal, mislead your customers about what they are buying, send messages people did not ask for, or try to reach another restaurant’s data. We may suspend a site that breaks these terms, and we will tell you why.
Ending
You can stop using WataDish at any time. We may end the service to you with 30 days’ notice, or at once for a serious breach of these terms. Money we hold for you is still paid out, less any refund or dispute that is still open.
Changes to these terms
When we change these terms in a way that affects you, we tell you by email before the change takes effect.
