Questions and answers

The questions restaurants ask before they start. Anything else, write to us: support@watadish.com

Starting

What does WataDish cost?

There is a free plan, and paid plans by the month or the year; the pricing page has every price. Cash orders carry no commission on any plan; where a plan takes cards, a commission comes off each card order.

What is in the free plan?

Your whole menu on your own address, in three languages, with ordering, up to the number of dishes the pricing page says; the paid plans add tables, delivery areas, your own domain and more.

How do I put my menu in?

Type it in the admin, dish by dish, or paste it as you have it (the text of a PDF, a WhatsApp message, a price list) and the site reads it into sections. Or send it to us, and we type it in for you.

Do my customers need an app?

No. Your site opens in the browser from a QR code or a link; nothing to install, on any phone.

Orders

How do orders reach me?

On the order screen, on any phone or tablet, which rings until the order is accepted; and on your WhatsApp in one tap, if you like.

Can diners order from the table?

Yes, on the plans with it: each table has its own QR code, and the order arrives with the table number. Diners can call the waiter or ask for the bill too.

Do you deliver?

No. Your own drivers deliver, to the areas and at the fees you set; WataDish takes no share of a delivery order.

What if the power or the internet goes?

Your site stays up for your customers: it does not run on your premises. The order screen says it is out of touch and, when it is back, shows and rings for the orders placed meanwhile.

Which languages?

Arabic, English and French on every button and message, right to left for Arabic. The menu itself can be written in up to ten: Armenian, Turkish, Spanish, Italian, German, Russian and Portuguese too, as many as your plan allows. The admin is in English.

Money

Is there a commission on cash?

No, on no plan. Cash, and Whish or OMT transfers to your own account, are between you and your customer.

Can customers pay by card?

On the plans that take cards. Stripe does not operate in Lebanon, so card orders are sold by Amberlock Ltd, trading as WataDish, and you supply them: the customer pays WataDish, and WataDish pays you for the order less its commission.

Who is the seller when a customer pays by card?

Amberlock Ltd, trading as WataDish, under its terms of sale; you are its supplier for that order, under the supplier agreement. For cash and transfers, you are the seller, as today.

When is card money paid to me?

Once an order is 7 days old, WataDish pays what it owes you by Whish, OMT or bank transfer, when you ask; every order and every payment is listed in your admin.

Can customers pay by Whish or OMT?

Yes: a transfer to your own account, with your details shown at checkout. WataDish takes nothing on it.

Your site

Can I use my own domain?

Yes, on the plans that include one: add it in the admin, point it as the page shows, and it is secured for you within minutes.

Can I print the QR codes?

The print kit makes table cards with each table’s code, a poster for the door and stickers for bags and boxes, in your look, ready for any A4 printer.

Can I stop whenever I want?

Yes. Plans are by the month or the year and can be ended from your admin; the terms say how an ending works and what happens to your site.

Whose are my customers’ details?

Yours to use for your restaurant, held by WataDish to run your site, as the privacy notice says. We do not sell them, and we do not market to your customers.
